Holly is the Canadian author of the fantasy series, The Chronicles of Sangan; book 1, The Reckless Apprentice and book 2, A Poor Man’s Truce.

I was born in a small town in northern British Columbia, Canada. My father was a member of the Canadian air force so our family lived on many military bases across Canada.

Much later my husband and I, with our three young children, moved to Paris, France and then Hong Kong. Living in Europe with its castles and historic landmarks and Asia with its teeming marketplaces was stimulus for my already vivid and creative imagination.

Traveling is in my blood I think. I’ve been to Australia, Mexico, Bahrain, Dubai, Cambodia, Spain, Malaysia, China, Belize, India, the UK and Ireland. I believe travel opens our minds and makes us more tolerant.

I enjoy writing fantasy because the stories kind of live in my head. It’s like I am viewing another world and telling the character’s stories. I know, it sounds a bit odd but that is the only way I can explain it.

Right now my husband and I live in two places, Vancouver, B.C. and  Toronto, Ontario. We also share our lives with a huge Belgian Maliois/Sheperd.
